Roman and I started a little routine on Tuesdays when the weather turned bad in the fall. We drop Ava off at school and then we go to Oak Park Mall to Panera for breakfast. Afterwards, we go to Barnes and Noble which is in the mall and look at books. It opens at 9:00 and nothing else is usually open. Then once the mall opens at 10:00, we walk through the mall. Sometimes my mom meets us. This last Tuesday she met us there.
Tuesday the weather was gorgeous. It was sunny and in the low 70's. The prettiest day we have had this year. Paul got home early from work and we loaded the kids bikes in the van. He went with me to pick up Ava from school and then we went to our favorite park to let the kids ride their bikes. We went home and they played outside and we grilled out. Afterwards, we met my parents back at the mall for gelato.
Wednesday was a rainy and gloomy day. My mom came over and rode with us over to my grandparents house. My cousin, Jamie was going to be coming over and she wanted to see Hudson. I hadn't seen her since Christmas and it was nice to visit with her. My grandma fixed lunch for us. She is so sweet! We went straight to storytime at the library at 2:00. This is the first time Ava and Roman have been in storytime together. The one they are in is for 4 and 5 year olds. They love books! We came home for just a little bit and then Ava had to be at ballet at 5:30. Mom brought Shailey to Ava's ballet class because her and Jonathan were in town for a wedding and Jonathan was busy with that. We went to Jose Peppers afterwards. Hudson was a little angel all day. He was in the car a lot and we were busy, but he was the sweetest thing!
Thursday I took Roman to his sports class. They worked on t-ball. He is really good in his class. He is a very fast runner and picks up on stuff quickly. He likes it. Ava just sat with me and worked on a sticker book. We stopped by my mom's on the way home to see Jonathan and Shailey and then we went home. We played outside even though it was a little windy. We sat in Trish's driveway in the sun. When Paul came home we went inside to get ready to go to Dan and Kim Rowe's house for dinner. Kevin, Janet, and Brittani came too. I got a chance to talk to Brittani about her getting engaged this week. She wants Ava, Roman, and Hudson to be in the wedding. My kids didn't want to come home. They had so much fun playing with Faith and Easton. I thought they would fall asleep on the way home, but no such luck.
Hudson seems like a different baby the last two weeks. I guess the Zantac he is on is really helping him. He is sleeping so great and isn't fussy. He naps several times a day and he goes to bed between 9:00 and 10:00 and sleeps til around 5:00 or 6:00. He eats and then goes back to sleep until around 8:00 or 9:00. I can definitely handle this! He spits up a lot just like his big sister Ava did. He does a little better when we give him a rice cereal bottle though.
